My New Telephone!

I have been Telephone-less for quite some time now. I guess i did have my own phone in my bedroom, except for the fact that it didn't work. Furious that it was still in my room and taking up space, i would push it off my night stand. The only reason it was stealing valuable space on my night stand, was because it was the base for one of our other phones. Ironically, i think that that other phone was broken too, so I'm still not sure why we had to show them our hospitality. But new light has shed on my bedside! While baby sitting a family that i adore, i came upon a box with lots of shredded paper spilling out. The spilling paper soon revealed an old rotary phone. For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, it is a telephone that has a round wheel that you can stick your fingers in and rotate to dial, instead of pushing buttons. The mother of the beloved family, popped it in my hands and told me i could have it! She said that it had gone with her to work, for a possible promotional type of thing, but it just didn't work out, so now it was mine! She also remarked that it wasn't just an old, funny-looking phone, it was an old, vintage, funny-looking phone that still worked! The only major problem was that the plug was 4 prong:
Those 4 prongs don't exactly fit into my wall's outlets, but i still brought the phone to its new home! It sat in our garage for a few days, before we figured out how we were going to make it work. My padre (Mr. Fix-It) and i went to radio shake to see if they had any converter type things, but we returned home without luck. My dad immediately went to eBay and found just what we needed! It came a few days later, and i opened the package to find that it was just another bunch of wires with a 4 prong thing attached to it! Ugh! We had ordered the wrong part! After dissecting the telephone, my dad managed to somehow make it work! Mr. Fix-It had done it again! Now i am typing up this post, while sitting next to my lovely white telephone! I've been using the phone at any opportunity i get, just because it is so cool to use! The actual telephone number is on it, from its very first user. I googled it to find that the phone is from Kentucky! My kentucky phone was made in September of 1969 (it was made to look like a 30's or 40's style phone) by the United Stated Telephone Company. Pretty cool, huh?
It looks very similar to the photo above.
